Transforming the ordinary High Street into a street quest, a stage of playful exploration, riddles, and collaborative play.

Commissioned as part of the 2019 Deptford X Festival, London's longest-running visual arts festival, funded by an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant.

Working with local people and businesses to create an exploratory trail with illustrated floor decals along the sidewalks of Deptford High Street. Within the participatory installation, people could find challenges, puzzles, and games that prompt passers-by to experience the High Street in a way they have never seen before.

Ten-floor stickers were placed along Deptford High Street, featuring mini-games or activities that let people experience the everyday life of the High Street from different perspectives. The street quest will unfold mysteries: from a colour-seeking match to identifying the sounds of the high street to finding all the anchors (Deptford's historic symbol) throughout the trail.
