Co-creating a beautiful offering through traditional craft workshops.
Working with the Royal Society of Sculptors, I curated a cultural programme exploring the traditions of Mexico’s Day of the Dead. The initiative featured a co-created offering installation dedicated to sculptor Cecil and Dora Thomas, five drop-in craft workshops, learning resources, and a candlelit cultural night.
Behind the scenes:
Workshops included creating traditional paper marigold flowers, skull masks, and embossed tin foil ornaments, connecting participants to the celebration's rich cultural significance. The ritual aimed to preserve the memory of loved ones and ensure their enduring legacy.
